Dear Brothers, Sisters and Friends,

Peace be with you!

2020 has been turning out to be very challenging for all of us due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic and world-wide social unrest which has significantly impacted our lives and environment. However, we continue to praise the Lord for His protection and encouragement through these difficult times. We also praise Him for leading us to experience His presence more deeply in these unique circumstances. Despite the prolonged pandemic, the 2020 SVCA LDC is rapidly approaching us and deserves our highest spiritual hunger and anticipation.

The theme of this year’s LDC is “Being Conformed to the Image of the Son of God,” which is not only a key area of implementation for SVCA’s annual theme “Christ is the Reality of the Kingdom of God,” but it also reminds us of the will of God, which He wants all of His children to perceive and hold onto throughout this year’s uncertainties. In a time when all are longing for His special intervention through His Word and Spirit, let us expect to receive His life-changing and reviving power during this upcoming LDC.

let us pray that the Lord may do even greater things among us despite our challenging situation! Thus, we call on you to pray with us toward these goals while we all prepare our own hearts for this grand spiritual feast.

May God bless this conference and His children by His Grace!

Ernest Waldvogel

Our Speaker

Pastor Ernest Waldvogel is the pastor of Church of the Good Shepherd in New York. He is a servant to whom God has entrusted much; he is humble and gentle in spirit and his messages are full of anointing. Pastor Waldvogel has been our Conference speaker for over 10 years. Both English and Chinese congregations love Pastor Earnest very much. Pastor Ernest and his wife, Joyce, have three children and three grandchildren.

Hongjie Yu

Our Speaker

Pastor Hongjie Yu was born again when he was a youth. He was diagnosed with tumors during childhood and has undergone a wide range of treatment since then, including eight surgeries. He has deep experience of the preciousness of life and very thirst and serious attitude toward the Word of God. After working in the Silicon Valley computer industry for twelve years, he was called to full-time ministry in 1991 and started Christian Assembly church with his wife and a few other coworkers. Pastor Yu has been frequently invited to the churches of different places to speak or teach with his emphasis on the Truth, spiritual growth and reality.
