We're much more than only our emotions, but we're not less than them. Many of us have not grown spiritually because we have unchecked emotional baggage and sins that needs to be unpacked and dealt with by Christ. We are called to emotionally healthy spirituality. While our culture puts too much emphasis on how we feel, the church often pays too little attention to emotions. If the Spirit has set us free, then that should include our emotional lives.
